A New Look for OIL!
– Service Stations in a New Guise

The 50 OIL! service stations belonging to the MHK service station organization are given a new look. Step one: design a new logo that is both succinct and appealing, yet not too far removed from the old "OIL!" logo. After all, existing OIL! Customers should still be able to recognize "their" service station.

After much thought, OIL! continued to be written in capitals, with the prominent exclamation mark at the end, and a new tagline below: "frei & flott” (≈ freely & fast). Instead of the original three colors, only two are now used: a warm purple combined with a strong green. The stations’ overall color scheme is then redone to match the new logo. Starting November, the new OIL! look is on view at the Flensburg and Düsseldorf OIL! stations, the first two to get the makeover.

Over time, all 50 OIL! stations are to be redone in the new color scheme. A conversion of the remaining 120 service stations still operating under the bft logo into OIL! stations is also considered. This would give the entire MHK/MDT service station network a uniform look.
