Hellmuth Weisser to Head Supervisory Board

After nearly 20 years at the top of Marquard & Bahls, Hellmuth Weisser steps down from his position of Chairman of the Executive Board and becomes the Chairman of the company’s Supervisory Board.

The new Chairman of the Executive Board is Wim Lokhorst, who, following after Theodor, Hans-Werner and Hellmuth Weisser, will be the first non-family member to steer the company’s future development.

Wim Lokhorst had first joined Marquard & Bahls in the mid-1990s following two decades with Royal Dutch Shell, where he learned the ins and outs of the oil business. He started at Oiltanking in 1994 as Managing Director, and in this capacity built the business up to become the world’s second largest operator of independent tank terminals.
