Modular Structure

FUEL trainee program: modular structure

The 2-year trainee program is structured into modes. In the first 6-8-month module, you are acquainted with all aspects of the oil business. For instance, you learn how an Oiltanking tank terminal functions, how a Mabanaft sales department is run, and what central departments like IT or Legal actually do at Marquard & Bahls. This is followed by a 10-month module in which you acquire more in-depth knowledge of “your” specialty, e.g. Finances, HSSE or Operations. The final 6-month module gives you an opportunity to broaden your “Marquard & Bahls horizons” at one of our subsidiaries in Germany or abroad.

The trainee program is supplemented throughout with seminars and training sessions on specific topics and to further your personal development. You have the personal support of a mentor as we jointly lay the foundations for your future with our group of companies!

What do we expect of you?

You have successfully completed a university degree and have some work experience – ideally in an international environment and/or in our industry. Alternatively, you have completed a vocational training program and have relevant initial professional experience. In your daily work, you want to contribute your own ideas and assume responsibility. You respond openly and flexibly to new topics and bring these qualities to working with your team. Finally, you should be fluent in German and English for communication in our international setting. Other foreign languages are a plus.
