Trees produce oxygen, are good for the climate, and bring a piece of nature back into urban life. These were more than enough reasons for Marquard & Bahls to support the initiative “Mein Baum - Meine Stadt” (My Tree My City) in greening up HafenCity, home to the Marquard & Bahls headquarters. With Marquard & Bahls’ donation of 1,000 Euros, two trees were planted in the Osakaallee in October 2017. On April 24, 2017, representatives of 15 Hamburg-based companies had joined Hamburg’s Senator of Environment & Energy, Jens Kerstan, in symbolically planting the first tree.
